Ashlee has worked in residential settings with teens in both residential and clinical positions. Originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, Ashlee moved out west to complete her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is where she began cultivating her passion to help individuals and families gain insight, discover their strengths, and develop healthy, meaningful relationships. Ashlee continued her post-graduate work at Westminster College, where she also earned her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ashlee values the therapeutic relationship as “the most powerful vehicle for growth and change,” and she provides an integrative approach to therapy that incorporates family systems, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic theories. Ashlee is trained in EMDR, and she has received extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy specific to clinical adolescent populations. In her free time, Ashlee enjoys cooking, hiking, snowboarding, and most of all, going on adventures with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Aspen, who is also a trained therapy dog!
