BS - Admissions Director
Lauren has significant experience working with families embarking on their therapeutic journey. She earned her degree from Ohio University in sociology and adventure recreation, and it is there that she found the incredible power of the wilderness through leading climbing and backpacking trips. Lauren started her career as direct care staff at a therapeutic boarding school where she eventually joined the admissions team; Lauren then transitioned to the admissions team for a therapeutic wilderness program, and eventually landed at a therapeutic educational consulting firm.
“Families don’t anticipate having to make the decision to send their child out of their home for care. I was drawn to Eva Carlston’s focus on giving families and young women a caring, comfortable, and safe environment that feels like a home. I believe the good work happens when we are all in a space of safety and comfort.”
Lauren can be found enjoying the outdoors with her family and friends, camping, skiing – if it’s outdoors she will be there! Her most recent project is learning to play the guitar and ukulele and tending to her flock of chickens.
