Teacher
Layne has 15 years of teaching experience, with 5 of those working in public Title 1 schools and more than 10 years in residential treatment centers. He received his Bachelor’s from Utah State University in math education. Because of his love of learning, he took many additional courses in subjects including electrical and digital circuits, physics, and information technologies.
“I love teaching math because there is nothing as rewarding as helping a student grow from an insecure student to a confident and independent math learner.”
In his spare time, Layne enjoys spending time with his family, and playing card or board games. His family has hosted many exchange students from Taiwan, Japan, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia.
