Melinda White

PhD, LCSW - Therapist

Melinda has worked in varied treatment environments including teen residential, inpatient, outpatient substance use, teaching DBT weekly skills group, and in her own private practice. She enjoys working with youth and the complex issues that can sometimes arise in their lives. She has training in EMDR, meditation, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She has taught at the University of Utah, Utah Valley University, and Salt Lake Community College. She holds a Master’s and Doctorate in social work from the University of Utah.

She also holds BS degrees in computer science and communications. In fact, she had a career as a software engineer but eventually found it did not speak to her desire to follow “a heart path.”  “We step into limitless strength when we find and embrace our passion. I’m grateful life always gives us this opportunity.” Melinda is really happy to be at Eva Carlston, where the programming is designed to give opportunity for such self-exploration. In her spare time, Melinda loves traveling to Utah national parks, Blossom (family Wheaten Terrier), and her family—- not in that order.
