Sydney grew up in Utah and received her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Utah. She began working in residential treatment through her undergrad and during her masters program where she developed a passion for working with adolescents. Sydney received her masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Westminster College and began her career working in general outpatient, day treatment, and intensive outpatient settings with a variety of clients and presenting concerns. Throughout her experience she has worked with her clients to provide an integrated and individualized approach beginning with person-centered therapy and utilizing other approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, family systems, trauma-informed care, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Sydney enjoys working with clients to build a strong therapeutic alliance and is honored as she helps clients “discover their worth, and help them learn how to develop healthy coping skills, and build healthy relationships.” In her free time Sydney loves to spend time with family and friends, enjoying the beautiful mountains of Utah, attending Utah Jazz games, Broadway performances, and concerts.
