Art Teacher
For nearly a decade, Giselle has worked as an educator, specializing in teaching the visual, literary, cinematic, and photographic arts. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts. It was in Los Angeles that Giselle discovered a passion for education.
At Eva Carlston, Giselle thrives teaching students in the smaller class sizes, which ultimately lends time to working with students one-on-one, helping to craft their art, opinions, and visions. She cares deeply about providing her students with the appropriate historical context and materials to create a meaningful work of art.
Often, she encourages students “to take the first step because you cannot critique the empty page.”
When Giselle isn’t at Eva Carlston, she spends her time working on her novel, snowboarding with her mom, and lounging with her dog, Winslow. As expected, she ritually produces artwork, watches films, and consumes books. She is also in search of the best latte in the Salt Lake Valley.
