CSW - Therapist

Jessie received her bachelor’s degree in Family Studies with a track of Mediation from Utah Valley University. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University.

Prior to joining Eva Carlston, she worked on the Clinical Team at South Valley Services, a local domestic violence service provider. She has experience helping domestic violence and sexual assault survivors heal from their trauma and abuse through trauma-informed evidence based interventions. She also previously worked at the Salt Lake County Youth Services residential girls group home, and has a lot of experience handling and defusing crisis situations.

She has a passion for helping adolescent girls gain back their self-esteem, challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors, and grow healthy coping skills. She is able to create a collaborative approach with clients and their families to help cultivate progress in communication, understanding, and change.

Jessie takes a strengths-based perspective into therapy, and utilizes evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy.

“I believe every person deserves to live up to their full potential, and sometimes we need other people to support us in discovering our full potential. My goal is to be that support to my clients by therapeutically helping them process and heal.”

In her free time, you can usually find her reading, watching comedy TV shows, or spending time outside exploring the beautiful Utah scenery. She also loves to travel the world with her family and experience new places as often as she can.
