The Mentors, or direct care staff, are the back-bone of Eva Carlston Academy. The Mentors are bachelors or masters level, and typically have degrees in social work related fields. Although they are not individually highlighted, they are critical to Eva Carlston Academy.
The Mentors work with the youth throughout the day teaching and developing skills and strengths. They are constantly developing and strengthening personal relationships with the youth and help every girl understand that someone cares about her and that they are valued. This bonding builds trust and is an essential element of effective treatment.
