Carly Farnes: Staff Spotlight

A 9 year Eva Carlston Academy veteran, Carly Farnes moved here in 2000, and has pretty much stayed put ever since.

She moved to Utah to go to college at Utah State University but still doesn’t know how she survives all of the cold and snowy winters here. 

Carly is a “soccer mom” and also has season tickets to the local professional men’s soccer team, Real Salt Lake. On some Saturdays–when the weather is good–she has been known to go to 3 soccer games in one day. 

She loves visiting the Oregon Coast and spent every summer of her childhood there for a week. Carly adores the great outdoors and is out hiking and camping as much as possible. Recently she hiked the Grand Canyon, “Rim to Rim,” in one day…  totaling about 23 miles. Now that’s passion!
